What Makes You Smile???
That was the title of today's blog prompt - well I was sat in a school library this morning and watched several secondary school students splosh about in rather big puddles - it made me smile and want to go and play at the same time... Also tonight I'm smiling because it's my first night off in ages and I got to blog!!!
I'll leave you with a recent card I made for a friend

...blog prompt...
As ever I am a day behind and playing catch up. Yesterday we were asked "What book are you reading at the moment? Share a project inspired by this book."
I was lucky enough to receive a kindle as a christmas pressie and I have to say I was a little anti the technology as I just love the feel and smell of a book. However, I am now a kindleholic. I just love it. I love the way you can lie in bed and not have to get stressed at that side of the book which always flops. I'm reading "The Wombles" at the moment. It may have a revamped cover but the characters are the same - which womble best describes your character? let that be your challenge.......I'll be back later with today's prompt!!

Bank Holiday Craft Day....
Today has been a day of two halves. This morning I was woken up by the cuckoo shouting in the garden and as I love to watch the birds playing about in the garden I just had to get up early and sit outside with coffee, hand warmers and binoculars. I'm not a twitcher by any means but we've got Green Finches trying to build a nest down the bottom of the garden. However, there is some question as to who 'owns' that nest as when the finches are away the blue tits come and continue building. Not quite sure how this will pan out. The battle is on!!
So with the morning still young I decided to crack on with a couple of samples for an upcomming Docrafts demo but thought I'd post them here. I'll be at Lambton Garden Centre next Saturday.
I'm not normally over fond of outline stickers but these two caught my eye mainly due to the graphite colour. They are called Classic Cameos and Alice In Wonderland.
Next Sunday (fingers crossed) sees the launch of the Suzicraft Blog and there will be tutorials, samples and techniques using the Splodge Away mat. So hope to see you then. I'll give you the link next Sunday.
Enjoy your day

Blog Prompt Day 6
Well, after a busy Docrafts Demo Day and an amazing car journey listening to the Script's Science and Faith album for the first time, the mojo was flowing today. For those following the Creativity Blog Prompts we were 'prompted' to allow our craft be inspired by music, I have to say the album takes you on an amazing and emotional journey. The music thing certainly prompts the mojo and today I've prepped all my remaining classes through till June. I never like to fully prep as I feel it removes the flow of creativity on workshop days.
Today we were asked to share a favourite photograph so I thought I'd share this with you - as many of you know we have a cairn terrorist who we share our house with. "Loyal but with her own agenda" is a phrase that comes to mind. She does like to guard her territory with aplomb and will give any unwanted visitor - be it pidgeon, jackdaw or rabbit a piece of her mind. When life gets too much she can be found lounging on furniture, which is so not allowed.
Since she is very much part of the family we scrapped her photo and did some hidden journalling. This is what we came up with.

Get Set To Colour
As promised here are a couple of cards I made using the spectrum noir pens to colour in the image. The pens are very different to promarkers or copics in their application. The pens are available at Suzicraft and are reasonably priced.
Day 3 of the Docraft Creativity Challenge was to use some of their download papers - I've done that and will post the card after playtime!!

5 Reasons to Craft.......
The Docrafts Creativity Team have put together a blog prompt idea and I thought I'd join in. Blog posting for me has become a little erratic in that I just seem to run out of time but they do say that if you repeat something for 21 days it becomes a habit so here we go.....
5 reasons why I craft.....
I'm addicted to being creative...
I'm addicted to using my crafty stash to create something unique...
I'm addicted to meeting like minded addicted crafty people...
I'm addicted to sharing what I learn with others...
I'm addicted to the excitment of finding different techniques...
Do I need therapy??????
